Why Comics? As far as Zane can remember, he has been reading comics. Once he was introduced to comics, Zane couldn't get enough. Wolverine is what really made him want to become a comic book illustrator. He made the decision in the first grade to become a pencilist for comics.
Zane's art background took root in High School Art class during his sophomore year. He had shown the Art Teacher some of his drawings and she approved him to skip the Art I class and go straight into Art II. In Zane's junior year, he took a Video Production class and filmed the live version of one story from a book he plans to do at a later date. His senior year, he was one of only two Art IV students and was hired by a local horse riding academy to do the art for their annual Easter Polo benefit invitations. In addition to Art IV, Zane excelled in an animation class as well.
As of September of this year, Zane will expand his abilities by attending The Joe Kubert School of Cartoon & Graphic Art, in
"I can't wait, not only to meet legendary artists like Joe, Adam, & Andy Kubert, but to be taught by them, they are the reason I am doing all of this, you can't talk about influential comic book artists of the past 30+ years and not mention any one of them. They've done it all."
When asked if he has any future plans with Alpha-Omega, Zane replied:
"Oh yeah! I have tons of stuff in my head just waiting to be given the key to be unlocked."
Currently Zane is the artist for the inspirational title, “Spirit.” This book will take heroism into a whole new era with the Divinely gifted hero going head to head with evil on every level.
